After being admitted for COVID-19, Amitabh Bachchan is now stable say hospital authorities


After revealing the worrisome news to fans that he had been admitted to a hospital after being testing positive for COVID-19, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is now reportedly stable. As per a statement released by the Public Relations Officer of Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, where the actor has been admitted, the veteran is currently in the isolation unit of the hospital and is stable with mild symptoms.

Last night saw millions of friends and fans of the Bachchan family get worried as both Amitabh and his son Abhishek Bachchan confirmed through their Twitter accounts that they had been tested positive for COVID-19 and were admitted to the hospital. This news saw a flurry of messages from all over the country as celebrity friends of both the actors sent their wishes for a speedy recovery to them. While Amitabh wrote, “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested,” Abhishek tweeted, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.” He also added, “The BMC has been in touch and we are complying with them.”

The 77-year-old actor has been unable to resume his pending films owing to the guidelines set by the government in view of the on-going pandemic. However, Abhishek was one of the first few actors to resume work and had been spotted going in and out of dubbing studios during the last few weeks.
