Govinda pays tribute to Saroj Khan with an emotional post; shares details of his first meeting with the renowned choreographer | Hindi Movie News


A few days after the untimely death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the industry got another shock as renowned choreographer Saroj Khan passed away on 3rd July due to cardiac arrest. While the news has left the entire fraternity shattered, everyone took to social media to mourn the loss of one of Bollywood’s most cherished choreographers.

Taking to Instagram, Govinda also paid tribute to Saroj Khan as he shared an emotional video along with an adorable throwback photo with the legendary choreographer. He captioned the post as “#Rip Saroj Khan ji 🙏🏻💔 Masterji Love you always !!”

In the video, Govinda shared the details of his first meeting with Saroj Khan and how she helped him in the start of his career. “I came to you, wanting to learn dance. But I had nothing to pay for the fees. And you told me, lovingly, ‘We’ll worry about that later,’ he said.

Furthermore, Govinda also added, “It is because of teachers like you that a common man like me, could go from Govind to Govinda. I cannot express myself in words right now.”

Saroj Khan, who had choreographed over 2000 songs in her illustrious career had won several accolades for her amazing work. Many iconic songs like Dola Re Dola, Ek Do Teen, Dhak Dhak and many others which featured the likes of Madhuri Dixit, Kajol and other talented actresses have been choreographed by her.
