Sushant Singh Rajput case: “Mumbai Police’s investigation is in right direction, no need for CBI,” states Maharashtra’s MoS Home | Hindi Movie News


Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh recently filed an FIR in Patna, post which the Bihar police arrived in Mumbai to investigate the actor’s death by suicide. However Maharashtra’s MoS Home was quoted by ANI as stating that the Mumbai police has been investigating the case properly and that the involvement of the CBI is not needed right now.

“Bihar Police might have come here because a separate complaint was filed there, but Mumbai Police’s investigation is in right direction & will investigate properly. There’s no need to handover the case to CBI, Maharashtra Police is capable of investigating: Maharashtra’s MoS Home,” shared ANI.

Recently Lalit Kishore, the advocate general for Bihar government had also stated that the Mumbai police has not been co-operating with them. ANI shared, “Whenever police from one state go to another state for investigation, then the respective state govt & officials cooperate. In this case, it’s unfortunate that they (Mumbai Police) are not cooperating: Lalit Kishore, Advocate Gen, Bihar Govt”.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide on June 14 is being investigated by the Mumbai police and they have till now questioned close to 40 people. Sushant’s family to his close friends as well as girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and Bollywood filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Mahesh Bhatt and Aditya Chopra have recorded their statements till now.
